Near-Ambient Pressure Photoelectron Spectroscopy End-station:
Samples should preferably be conductive. If not, they can be made conductive by adding nano-gold powder or spin-coating a film on a conductive substrate.
Samples should be prepared to a size of about 5×5 mm, attached to a sample plate using copper or carbon tape. For in situ experiments with powder, the sample should be pressed into a disk about 5 mm in size.
Photon In/Photon Out End-station:
Samples should preferably be conductive. If not, conductivity can be increased by adding nano-gold powder.
Samples should be about 2×2 mm, attached to a sample plate using copper or carbon tape. For thin-film samples on non-conductive substrates, connect the surface to the base with a tape. If the sample is scarce and measurements of C and O are needed, the sample can be pressed onto an indium sheet.
Air-sensitive samples can be prepared in a glove box and then sealed with a thermoplastic bag for transport to the station.
