1.The application for experiments is strictly in accordance with the application process of the SSRF, i.e., submit the application in the user subject management system of the SSRF. When applying, please indicate the research background, purpose, plan and conditions required, etc. After the application is approved, please come to the Experiment Station to carry out the experiment according to the plan applied for.

2.Before the experiment, please discuss the experiment plan in detail with the staff of the BL07U. Please confirm the experimental conditions and make clear whether the specific parameters of the relevant experimental station meet the testing requirements. Be sure to complete the user experiment forms, i.e. “Nano - User Experiment Form”, “Spin - User Experiment Form” and “XMCD User Experiment Form”. Once completed, please send them to the user contact person for confirmation (at least two weeks in advance). If you are unsure, you must consult with staff members and obtain permission before proceeding with the experiment.

3.According to the approved beam time to fill out the requirements of the SSRF safety audit (at least three days before the experiment), should not deliberately conceal the sample information or experimental plan, especially some easy to contaminate, degassing serious samples, need to list the details of the sample pre-treatment to avoid contamination of the testing chambers. The beamline is a soft X-ray beamline with an energy range of 50-2000 eV. If you need to bring your own in-situ equipment/kit/cell, please contact the user's contact person in advance, and the in-situ equipment must be compatible with ultra-high vacuum.

4.It is prohibited to bring hazardous chemicals into the experimental station, the SSRF does not provide gas storage site, the samples and materials brought in by the user must be taken away from the site at the end of the experiment. And it must not be discarded or dumped at will.

5.Strictly in accordance with the experimental plan to test the relevant content, shall not test the samples for outside units of the subject group for no reason, is strictly prohibited non-subject plan within the experiments authorized users to operate in the experimental process;

6.Before the experiment need to pass the Healthy and Safety training and experimental station training, some specific operations must be professionally trained, (including sample transfer, heating, aeration, etc.), to be authorized by the staff training and authorization before operation, need to be at least two people at the same time for safety issue.

7.Better to check the absorption side of the elements to be measured and prepare the standard samples for comparison that may be needed. Find relevant spectra in the literature for comparison.
