The ultra-hard X-ray multi-functional application (UXMA, also known as BL12SW) beamline is one of the phase-II Beamline Project at the Shanghai Synchrotron Facility (SSRF), which is a dedicated high energy beamline. The main experimental methods are diffraction and imaging with high energy X-ray. Its scientific goal has two parts. One part is the structural and microstructural characterization of engineering materials in near-real service environments or synthetic environments, and the other is high-temperature and high-pressure in situ research related to earth/planet and material sciences using large volume press (LVP).
